February kick-started with bike maintenance class success
The first half of February has been busy with cycling activities across the community.
Our ever-popular bike maintenance classes started back after the Christmas break, and have been well-received. We recently held two classes, one to a local Pupil Support Service After-School Bike Club at the centre in Boreland Road, and one to members of the public.
These classes are a great starting point for anyone who would like to build up their confidence for looking after their bike, fixing those pesky punctures, and predicting other maintenance issues before their bike becomes unsafe.
The eight people attending all enjoyed the experience. One of the participants, Kevin Robb, felt that "the maintenance class was extremely useful for people of all backgrounds of ability in bike maintenance and repairs, I not only learnt a few tips but I will also be bringing groups of young people along to take part in future classes".
