Travel Advice - Try It!

A CAMPAIGN to promote sustainable transport to residents of Kirkcaldy has kicked off this week. Households across the town have begun receiving personalised travel planning advice from trained Travel Advisors.

The ‘Try It’ project is being undertaken as part of Make your move Kirkcaldy and is one of a number of actions being taken to promote cycling, walking and public transport in the town. Travel Advisors will be encouraging residents to consider using more active and sustainable modes of transport when making short journeys to help improve their health and save money on the cost of local travel. Many journeys within Kirkcaldy are over relatively short distances and could potentially be made without using a car.

Every household in the town will receive a leaflet over the next few weeks with advice on sustainable travel. Around half of these households will also be visited by a trained Travel Advisor from Hyder Consulting.
